LUNAR Europe got to be a part of the push. conference this year. It was a good opportunity to meet interesting people, listen to insightful talks and find out what people in the design community are up to these days. The conference this year focused on a lot of the current trends and also some topics that looked more into the future. A lot of the talks we directly resonated with, as it relates to the work we do on a daily basis.
Here are some of the talks and themes that we found particularly interesting. Gert Franke, the co-founder of CLEVER°FRANKE started his company in Utrecht (NL). Today their clients are companies like Google, Here and WIRED. He talked about the importance of making sense and visualizing the data in a way that we don’t get lost in the overload of information that we are surrounded by. Another pressing topic today relates to privacy and data security. Ame Elliott from Simply Secure explained the steps we should take as designers and developers to make this a priority. Lastly, Mike Alger from Google presented great insights on how users perceive the world of virtual reality and how we as designers should adapt to this rapidly growing trend.
It was an enriching experience and a good opportunity to connect with people that share similar thoughts and interests as we do. We look forward to being a part of more such events.
